About Helge Alt

Helge Alt is a cleaning industry expert with more than 30 years of experience in developing cleaning quality systems, professional standards, and modern training methodologies. She is the Chairperson of the Board at Puhastusekspert OÜ and a long‑time leader in Estonia’s national qualification system.

For over 20 years, Helge has steered the design and implementation of the European Qualifications Framework–based certification system in Estonia, resulting in more than 5000 valid professional certificates at EQF levels 3–5.

She has played a central role in establishing national cleaning standards (including EVS 914, EVS 944, EVS900 and EVS 807) and has contributed to multiple international Erasmus+ projects focused on cleaning ergonomics, pandemic‑resilient cleaning, and quality‑driven methods. Helge is also the author and co‑author of several training materials, educational films, and the widely used Handbook on Cleaning
