On March 12, the Interclean Shanghai 2025 Press Conference was grandly held in Shanghai. Coinciding with China’s Tree Planting Day, which symbolizes growth, renewal, and sustainability, the event was themed "Rooting Green, Planting the Future." This theme not only aligns with the environmental values of Tree Planting Day but also underscores the cleaning industry's strong commitment to intelligent transformation and a greener future.
The press conference brought together prominent industry leaders, global exhibition organizers, key representatives from the industrial chain, and media professionals to witness the official launch of Interclean Shanghai 2025.


The event opened with a speech by Zhuang Yongxiang, who highlighted the importance of Interclean Shanghai as a professional platform for introducing advanced cleaning technologies and management expertise. He emphasized the role of AI in enabling technological innovation and expressed confidence that collaboration between the association and Interclean Shanghai would drive the industry towards a smarter, greener, and more sustainable future.

Daniëlle Inostroza, Exhibition Manager of Interclean Global, RAI Amsterdam, announced that Interclean Shanghai 2025 will further expand its international exhibition zone to attract global exhibitors from sectors such as property management, hospitality, and leisure.

Liu Jinghao, Vice President & Secretary-General of the China Association of Urban Environmental Sanitation, underscored the growing technological advancements in China’s cleaning industry. He emphasized that new technologies, products, and equipment are emerging rapidly, allowing China’s cleaning industry to compete on equal footing with the world. He expressed hope that Interclean Shanghai will serve as a bridge for international exchange and cooperation to advance the industry.

Gu Jing, Deputy Director of the Shanghai Trade Association of City Appearance and Environmental Sanitation Building (Structures) Committee, praised the diverse content and positive feedback from previous Interclean Shanghai events. He emphasized the integration of digitalization and AI in the industry and called for joint efforts to deliver an even more outstanding exhibition that showcases the sector’s strength and achievements.

Michael Zhang, Interclean Shanghai Project Manager, presented the core highlights of the upcoming exhibition. He provided a detailed review of Interclean Shanghai 2024, demonstrating its success and industry impact through comprehensive post-event data.
He further announced that Interclean Shanghai 2025 will deepen its collaboration with Interclean Amsterdam, leverage global resources, and explore specialized cleaning segments across Chinese cities, uniting industry peers to drive the sector forward.

The press conference concluded with a launch ceremony, jointly officiated by An Miao, Vice-Secretary-General of the Shanghai Trade Association of City Appearance and Environmental Sanitation, and Michael Zhang, Interclean Shanghai Project Manager. This marked the official start of preparations for Interclean Shanghai 2025, setting the stage for a more international, diverse, innovative, and sustainable exhibition.

With the rapid advancement of smart cleaning technologies, traditional sanitation models are being disrupted, and urban management is evolving toward efficiency, sustainability, and intelligence. From autonomous cleaning vehicles to eco-friendly chemical cleaning solutions, and from solid waste recycling technologies to cleaning laboratories, every innovation is injecting new energy into sustainable development.This press conference sent a clear message to the industry:
Cleaning technology is no longer just about dirt removal—it is a driving force for reshaping cities, protecting the environment, and enhancing human well-being.
