What are the major challenges that the window cleaning sector face?
A robot for cleaning curtain walls at great heights is a new technological field. Curtain walls are exterior cladding of buildings that are largely made of aluminum. At the moment, cleaning companies and real estate companies in the industry do not know much about this technology. Making buyers accept this innovation is a real challenge. In addition, the cleaning robot's working area is limited, so that it cannot completely replace the traditional manual cleaning operation.
How is new technology helping you to overcome these challenges?
On the one hand through various new media to strengthen publicity, increasing collaboration with cleaning companies and real estate companies in the sector. It is important for them to better understand the functions and benefits of the robot. On the other hand, through the performance and function improvement of new technology, we can continuously reduce the working area of the robot, improve the work efficiency and make the robot work more humanly.
What trends from the last couple of years have become mainstream in your company?
The company is constantly iteratively upgrading the machine, finding and solving problems through each building cleaning and making the machine intelligent and efficient. In addition to optimizing the technological capabilities, it is also important to get the robot and engineers out of the laboratory, strengthen communication and cooperation with customers, better base the technology and products, and solve the practical problems. It's a matter of work. Currently, the company's robot is cleaning 150,000 square meters of curtain wall, taking the lead in entering the market.
What trends do you think will dominate your sector?
I think the most important thing is artificial intelligence technology. The promotion and application of this technology in the industry will greatly improve the performance and applicability of robots. For example, the 3D depth of field camera can detect the robot's working environment in real time. If the customer suddenly pushes the window, the robot has to decide whether to move across the window to clean the next area or stop working immediately. In addition, the large-scale promotion of 5g enables customers to detect the cleaning status of the robot in real time and stably.
How important is sustainability to your organization?
Survival is the primary goal for a company. Only if the company survives can it achieve the durability of technology and provide customers with stable after-sales protection. Currently, the company has taken the lead in entering the market for promotion, cleaning 150,000 square meters of curtain walls, with a certain income. The next step is to rapidly expand the market scale, generate more revenue and realize the company's virtuous circle. In addition, the company also actively communicates with outside investment institutions to seek out certain outside investments so that the business can continue to grow.
What impact is digitalization having on your sector?
Currently, the company makes full use of digital technology, such as mobile phones, tablets and computers to operate the machine remotely. Customers can view the real-time cleaning status of the machine in real-time without being on site, such as the height of the robot working, the completed cleaning area, the current wind force and a series of data.
Which single piece of technology are you most excited about for the future?
What I'm most interested in is artificial intelligence technology, more powerful artificial intelligence technology. AI can make the robot break existing work restrictions and become more bionic. In this way, all kinds of work can be carried out at a great height and all kinds of blind spots and edge positions can be cleaned. AI also helps the robot to more intelligently estimate all kinds of high-lying obstacles (such as window frames) and to perform all kinds of complex tasks.
