The innovation shortlist: machines edition

Automation, ergonomics and performance are redefining what modern cleaning machines can deliver. What was once purely mechanical is now increasingly intelligent, connected and designed to support both operators and wider business goals.

Throughout Halls 1-8 at Interclean Amsterdam 2026, explore this evolution with brands from across the world showcasing the latest generation of machines built to help handle labour shortages, rising expectations and sustainability demands.

From compact, high-performance equipment to autonomous scrubbers, the following exhibitors show just some of the ways in which machine innovation is helping facilities clean smarter and operate more efficiently.

Nilfisk: Performance across every environment

Celebrating its 120th anniversary, Nilfisk will present a broad portfolio covering floorcare, industrial vacuuming and high-pressure cleaning.

Highlights include compact dry vacuums designed for durability and ergonomics, alongside robotic solutions such as the SC25 scrubber and VP25 vacuum, which support consistent results while freeing staff for more complex tasks.

Floorcare machines like the SC550, DRYFT scrubber and SW3000 sweeper demonstrate how strong performance and intuitive operation are being combined, while industrial solutions such as the Mini IVS vacuum and pressure washers address more demanding environments.

Nilfisk focuses on practical gains. Ergonomic design reduces operator strain, while durable machines and service programmes help minimise downtime. At the same time, optimised water, energy and detergent use supports sustainability targets.

The result is reliable, efficient cleaning with measurable improvements in productivity, resource use and lifecycle cost.

Tennant Company & Brain Corp: Scaling intelligent cleaning

Automation is rapidly moving from pilot projects to everyday operations. At their joint stand, Tennant Company and Brain Corp will showcase robotic cleaning machines designed to modernise large-scale environments.

Alongside established solutions like the X6 ROVR, two new robotic machines will be introduced to the European market. Powered by Brain Corp’s BrainOS® platform, these systems enable safe navigation and scalable automation across sites.

A key development is the BrainOS® Clean 2.0 update, where SelfPath™ AI allows machines to “autonomously plan and adapt their own paths,” improving efficiency while reducing manual input.

These solutions directly respond to labour shortages and rising costs. As Tennant notes, automation helps teams maintain consistent standards while redeploying staff to higher-value work, enabling organisations to “do more with the resources they have.”

Users can expect improved productivity, increased uptime through lithium-ion batteries and lower overall operating costs, alongside reduced environmental impact through efficient resource use.

Don’t forget the Robot Experience in Hall 5

Want to see automation up close? The Robot Experience in Hall 5 offers a dedicated space for autonomous cleaning in action.

This live demonstration zone brings together leading manufacturers including Gausium, LionsBot, Adlatus Robotics and Ecovacs, alongside other innovators such as Sparkoz, Allybot, Cleanfix and Shenzhen Yunjie Technology.

Led by experts, watch how machines handle real environments and how robotics integrates into daily workflows, and discover how equipment, software and service come together as complete solutions.

Discover what smarter machines can really do

Cleaning machines are no longer just tools you operate, they are systems you work with. At Interclean Amsterdam 2026, that difference becomes clear the moment you step onto the show floor.

At exhibitor stands and dedicated zones like the Robot Experience, machines are not only cleaning, but mapping spaces, adapting in real time and generating insights that reshape how cleaning is planned and delivered. It is this combination of autonomy, usability and intelligence that is changing expectations across the industry.

Interclean offers the chance to experience that shift first-hand. Whether refining existing operations or exploring automation for the first time, the Machines segment shows what is now possible when performance, data and design work together.
