Outdoor & Window Cleaning in Focus: Smarter tools, safer work and real-world performance

In outdoor and window cleaning, results are visible instantly. Whether it is glass façades, building exteriors or solar panels, performance depends on speed, safety and consistency in constantly changing conditions. From 14–17 April 2026, Interclean Amsterdam 2026 will spotlight the evolving world of outdoor and window cleaning across Halls 1 to 8 and the Outdoor Cleaning Experience.

Professionals working in exterior cleaning, window cleaning and building maintenance face increasing pressure to deliver faster results, work safely at height, and maintain consistent quality across varied environments. At the same time, expectations around ergonomics, ease of use and sustainability continue to rise.

This year’s programme brings these challenges into focus, offering hands-on learning, product innovation and insights shaped directly by innovation leaders.

See cleaning in action: Outdoor Cleaning Experience

Set just outside Entrance K, the Outdoor Cleaning Experience recreates real working conditions, allowing professionals to observe how different methods perform across surfaces and scenarios. From window cleaning techniques to equipment handling and workflow optimisation, the focus is on practical learning.

Throughout the day, leading companies including i-team, Nilfisk and PTH Global will showcase innovative approaches to outdoor and window cleaning. Get up close with façade and glass cleaning, equipment handling, and more to see how performance, safety and efficiency come together while reducing environmental impact.

Don’t miss a session by PTH Global

Pure water cleaning is transforming how exterior surfaces are maintained. At the Outdoor Experience, PTH Global will demonstrate with Waterocx how mineral-free water can deliver fast, effective cleaning without the need for chemicals.

As the team explains, pure water “dissolves dirt naturally,” allowing users to clean windows, façades and solar panels more efficiently while reducing effort and environmental impact. By removing the need for detergents, the system also helps prevent streaking and spotting, improving overall finish quality.

The session reflects a growing trend towards simpler, more sustainable cleaning methods that reduce costs while maintaining high standards.

Exhibitors to look out for at the show

Moerman | Stand 01.509

Across the exhibition floor, innovation is focused on making daily work easier and more efficient. At their stand in Hall 1, Moerman will present a range of window cleaning tools, floor squeegees and the Carabao mopping system, all designed with the user in mind.

The company emphasises that today’s professionals are balancing multiple demands, from speed and safety to ergonomics and consistent results. As they note, tools must “perform reliably while also reducing physical strain and supporting ease of use throughout the working day.”

This focus on practical innovation runs through their product development approach. Rather than innovation for its own sake, the goal is to create solutions that genuinely improve how work gets done. Close collaboration with users and continuous feedback from the field play a key role, reinforcing the importance of knowledge-sharing in raising standards across the industry.

Unger | Stand 01.205

Unger will present a practical, end-to-end view of modern window cleaning, combining pure water systems with advanced tools for traditional methods. The focus is on helping professionals improve efficiency, simplify workflows and prepare for future demands.

Today’s industry requires solutions that are not only effective but also “flexible, transparent and efficient,” supported by digital documentation and real-time reporting. Unger points to increasing complexity, with “more demanding building structures, rising sustainability expectations and the need for more efficient processes” shaping requirements.

The company also highlights the importance of bridging the gap between innovation and daily use. By strengthening training and knowledge-sharing across the industry, they aim to ensure that new technologies translate into real, measurable improvements in the field.
