The innovation shortlist: Detergents & Disinfectants edition
From powerful disinfectants to smarter dilution systems, cleaning chemistry continues to play a critical role in delivering safe and consistent hygiene.
Achieving effective cleaning today means balancing several priorities at once. Products must deliver reliable performance while supporting sustainability goals, improving operator safety and ensuring consistency across large teams and complex facilities.
Across halls 1–8 at Interclean Amsterdam 2026, visitors can explore the newest generation of professional cleaning chemistry from advanced detergents and disinfectants to intelligent dosing and dilution systems that bring greater precision, efficiency and control to daily cleaning operations.
Read on for insights from some of the Interclean exhibitors that are advancing the world of detergents and disinfectants.
Falpi: Data-driven dilution and dosing control
Ensuring the correct preparation and use of cleaning chemicals remains a persistent challenge in professional cleaning operations. In environments where multiple operators are involved, inconsistent dilution or discretionary handling can lead to wasted product, reduced performance and safety risks.
At the show, Falpi will present the latest version of its Dosacontrol ecosystem, a system that connects dilution and impregnation devices with a cloud-based monitoring platform. Using RFID tags and QR codes, the system identifies containers and procedures, automatically preparing the correct mixtures while recording every dispensing operation.
According to Owner Andrea Loro Piana, this approach helps organisations bring greater control and transparency to chemical usage. “Dosacontrol enables real-time monitoring, reduces waste, increases safety and ensures full process traceability,” she notes.
By standardising dilution processes and capturing usage data, the system helps cleaning teams maintain protocol consistency while supporting audits, verification and cost analysis. The result is more reliable chemical management, reduced waste and improved operator safety.
Alongside Dosacontrol, Falpi will also present new additions to its KUBIPRO trolley series, including a dedicated trolley developed specifically for window cleaning operations. The company hopes visitors will leave with a clear sense of how better results can be achieved through more controlled processes and well-engineered equipment.
Pollet: Probiotic detergents for preventive indoor hygiene
Cleaning is increasingly expected to contribute not only to hygiene but also to healthier indoor environments. As awareness of indoor air quality and allergies grows, cleaning solutions are beginning to address issues that extend beyond visible dirt and contamination.
Pollet will be presenting AllerClean, a new range of probiotic detergents designed to reduce respiratory allergens in indoor spaces through routine cleaning. The concept reflects a shift towards more preventive cleaning strategies. Benoit Laurent, Director Marketing and Sales Performance, explains that “AllerClean introduces a preventive approach to professional cleaning by combining chemical cleaning with probiotic enzymatic degradation of respiratory allergens.” By pairing immediate cleaning performance with a longer-lasting biological action, the solution allows allergenic proteins to be degraded continuously even after surfaces become re-contaminated.
The range is designed to cover multiple cleaning applications, including floors, surfaces, textiles, screens and carpets. At the same time, the products contribute to sustainability objectives through Ecolabel-certified formulations and recycled packaging.
For cleaning companies, distributors and facility managers, this type of innovation creates new opportunities to differentiate services by combining effective hygiene with improved indoor comfort for building occupants.
Live demonstrations and disinfection best practices in Hall 12
The Healthcare Cleaning Experience brings cleaning principles to life in a practical, hands-on setting. Developed with Clean Hospitals and BICSc, this dedicated area recreates a full-size hospital room where visitors can watch best-practice cleaning and disinfection techniques demonstrated in real time. Sessions across all days of the show will cover essential tasks including trolley set-up, waste bin and bed cleaning, managing bodily fluid spills, high and mid-level surface cleaning, toilet hygiene and wheelchair cleaning.
Visit the Healthcare Experience Centre located in Hall 12.411 to see how the right detergents and disinfection methods come together to support infection prevention and consistent hygiene standards in healthcare environments.
Cleaning chemistry continues to evolve
Innovation in detergents and disinfectants is moving beyond formulation improvements alone. More so than ever, manufacturers are combining chemistry with data, automation and biological solutions to improve consistency, transparency and sustainability in cleaning operations.
From intelligent dilution systems to probiotic cleaning technologies, these developments reflect a rapid acceleration towards more controlled, measurable and preventive approaches to hygiene.
