It's great when you come up with a new product that can make a real difference in your market, but it's equally important that you can share your innovation with the widest possible audience. Interclean Amsterdam offers the most innovative products on the market a stage with special attention before, during and after the event and a unique opportunity for extra attention in the international trade media.

Participating in the Amsterdam Innovation Award (AIA)

The Amsterdam Innovation Award Jury is always looking for smart solutions that challenge the status quo to deliver clear improvements for cleaning. Participation in the Amsterdam Innovation Award is open to all exhibitors of Interclean Amsterdam, and exhibitors can enter multiple innovations. Each innovation can be submitted into a maximum of two categories.

The jury judges the products on the following five characteristics: impact, innovation value, practicality, sustainability, and profitability. One overall winner will be chosen from all entries. A certificate will be awarded to the winner per category. One entry will receive the 'visitors choice' certificate.

Registration for the Amsterdam Innovation Award 2022 is closed.

Interclean Amsterdam is introducing a new set of categories for the Amsterdam Innovation Award, replacing the existing 4 product-focused categories. The new categories will focus on the impact on the industry the innovative products and solutions entered have.

Sustainability & Environment

For those innovations that focus on corporate social responsibility, sustainability and/or environmentally friendly improvements, like reducing waste, using biodegradable resources or products or solutions that decrease the ecological footprint of the product/solution or even the industry itself.

Smart Technologies & Digitalisation

Focussing on all the new digital and smart technologies entering the industry, from planning tools, automated and/or autonomous cleaning, IoT, remote monitoring and management, software and everything in between.

Workforce & Ergonomics

For innovations that focus on improving the experience of the cleaner, make their work easier, safer and better. Think of training and education, ergonomic improvements or solutions, but also innovations that focus on increasing efficiency or productivity can be entered in this category.

Hygiene & Health

Focussing on those products and solutions that increase (personal) hygiene and cleanliness for a more safe and healthy environment in a wide range of settings. It also includes the products that are developed to keep the appeal of premises 100%.

The International Jury of the Amsterdam Innovation Award

Since 1996 the International Jury of the Amsterdam Innovation Award has been working to select and reward the best innovations in the cleaning industry. The Awards were given to the latest and most impressive products and systems, designed to encounter and facilitate customer's everyday lives.
