About the awards

For many years now, the Amsterdam Innovation Award has been granted to the most innovative product, service or solution in the cleaning and hygiene industry in four different categories. All Interclean Amsterdam exhibitors can compete to win one of these prestigious award. An international expert jury selects 12 nominees (3 nominees per category) who will be invited to come to Amsterdam in March 2024 to pitch their innovation to the Jury. From these 12 nominees, 4 categories winner and one overall winner will be chosen. Additionally there is a Visitors’ Choice Award and a Cleaners’ Choice Award.

All winners will be announced during the Keynote Opening of Interclean Amsterdam 2024 on May 14th. At the House of Awards in Hall 13, all nominees will be on display for all visitors to see. These nominees will receive global media coverage through our social channels, website, mailings and press releases. All entries will be part of the special “We Innovate” Innovation Route.

Categories

Interclean Amsterdam is introducing a new set of categories for the Amsterdam Innovation Award, replacing the existing 4 product-focused categories. Exhibitors can enter their innovations into four specific categories. The new categories will focus on the impact on the industry the innovative products and solutions entered have.

Each innovation can be entered into a maximum of 2 categories. For each entry, a small fee of € 150.00 (ex. VAT) is charged. All proceeds will be donated to a charity.

Sustainability & Environment

For those innovations that focus on corporate social responsibility, sustainability and/or environmentally friendly improvements, like reducing waste, using biodegradable resources or products or solutions that decrease the ecological footprint of the product/solution or even the industry itself.

Smart Technologies & Digitalisation

Focussing on all the new digital and smart technologies entering the industry, from planning tools, automated and/or autonomous cleaning, IoT, remote monitoring and management, software and everything in between.

Workforce & Ergonomics

For innovations that focus on improving the experience of the cleaner, make their work easier, safer and better. Think of training and education, ergonomic improvements or solutions, but also innovations that focus on increasing efficiency or productivity can be entered in this category.

Hygiene & Health

Focussing on those products and solutions that increase (personal) hygiene and cleanliness for a more safe and healthy environment in a wide range of settings. It also includes the products that are developed to keep the appeal of premises 100%.

The International Jury of the Amsterdam Innovation Award

The entries will be evaluated by an independent jury of specialists. The jury is selected for their expertise and profession in the industry.
