In our latest article, we catch up with Frennie, Content and Community Marketer for Interclean Global Events to find out more about her experience, her role and what she loves about Interclean!
Keen to work for Interclean
Before joining the team at Interclean I had worked in online marketing at a marketing agency. I previously studied communications and finished a master’s degree in International Business Communication.
I had recently moved to Amsterdam when I saw that RAI Amsterdam was looking for Content and Community Marketers for one of its most important trade shows, Interclean. I was interested in working for Interclean because it’s an internationally oriented trade show. I was keen to work for a company that brings the world together to celebrate innovation.
So, I applied and here I am!
I really enjoy learning about other cultures and Interclean seemed like the perfect place to do so. I knew that the RAI was an important trade venue, where people of all different cultures can meet to share ideas and innovations within the cleaning sector, so this role really appealed to me.
I have joined the Interclean team at the perfect time because we are busy building up to the 2022 show, having been forced to cancel last year’s event due to the pandemic. So, this will be my first Interclean and I feel very lucky to have joined right now!
Promoting the show
In my role within the marketing team, I focus on the creation of content, with the aim of putting Interclean in the spotlight and attracting visitors to the show.
My day-to-day work involves creating and implementing marketing campaigns, writing newsletters, using social media channels, generating web traffic, writing articles and much more.
I monitor what works and doesn’t work within our marketing campaigns. What does the Interclean audience like to see and hear about? And on which channels? These are some of the questions I ask in order to make sure we are reaching out to our target audience and getting positive responses.
Creative Vision
The best part about my Content and Community Marketer role is having the opportunity to be creative. I really enjoy brainstorming new ways to put Interclean in the spotlight. Brainstorming gives us lots of great ideas about how to get the Interclean name out there and make it even more well-known around the world. I use these ideas to create new campaigns using images, videos, articles or whatever means of promotion suits the campaign.
I think that my strongest personal trait is that I won’t stop until I am 100% satisfied with what I have created. As well as being a perfectionist, in terms of my abilities and skill set, I think that my Interclean colleagues would call me creative and well-organised.
Out of work I like to attend music festivals and going travelling. I also love eating good food and spending time with family and friends.
